Engineered Escogear and Escodisc coupling products are used, among other things, to drive motor test stands, turbine simulators, brake test stands and balancing machines, to name but a few. Test benches are so specific that special custom designed couplings are often required to fulfill the needs of the application. Mixer drives can be single shaft or double shaft executions, they may drive rubber mixers but also clay mixer -extruders as well as plastic extruders. They are generally subject to high working environment temperatures. The Escogear coupling range with high torque capacities and, for the CST - series, greatly reduced external diameters are perfectly suited to drive mixer drives, especially the twin drives where space is at a premium. The standard misalignment capacities permit compensation for alignment challenges due to machine concepts. Shafts can be close coupled or larger, thus requiring spacers.
In some cases, indexing capacity may be required to allow the best possible mixing process.
